Founder of Era Yachting Mr. Φmer Aras has been serving for many years as Honorary Consulate of Italy in Bodrum.
Due to his extraordinary success, Mr. Aras has been honored by Italian presidency by the medal of "Cavaliere" in 1983, and of "Commendatore" in 1996.

 

Era Yachting has especially served to the evolution of crewed yacht charters by traditional yachts (gulets). Accompanied by our experienced crew, we have the most beautiful and comfortable charter yachts of Turkey in our fleet. With our great passion for sailing and navigation, we have established a sailing club. Young generation in Bodrum is now getting sailing courses from Era Bodrum Sailing Club. Era sailors are now among the most successful ones in Turkey, and they form an important part of Turkish Sailing team.
The greatest organization of Era Bodrum Sailing Club is "The Bodrum Cup International Wooden Yacht Regatta". The Bodrum Cup, first organized in 1989, and continued until today, starts on 3rd Sunday of every October. More than 100 yachts take part in this race.
This organization aiming at encouraging use of sails on wooden yachts mainly, created an enjoyable rivalry and led to construction of better and better yachts every year.
Era Bodrum Sailing Club has also taken the leadership for construction of first Sailing Schoolship of Turkey, STS Bodrum, and highly involved in her  education activities..
