There are 4 international airports used by yacht charter guests for
arrivals in and departures from Turkey : Izmir, Bodrum, Dalaman and
Antalya. Airports nearest to the ports of embarkation / disembarkation are
usually preferred. Upon request, ERA can arrange your transfers between
the airports and the yachts.
The Greek airports on the islands of Cos and Rhodes can also be used for
arrivals and departures. This however entails additional costs in the form
of Greek harbour charges and taxes.
On crewed yacht charters provisioning lists (food and drinks) are usually sent to the customer ahead of time, in which case the captain or the agency makes the purchases of food and drinks before the guests arrive. This is then paid for at embarkation upon presentation of invoices. The customers may choose to do their own shopping for provisions or bring some with them - customs-free alcoholic beverages and special foods are among items often brought aboard by the guests. Your meals are prepared in the yacht's galley -this term does not refer to a type of medieval ship often rowed by slaves but to the boat's kitchen; the galley-slave here is the ship's cook !
